Andrea Kobayashi was born in Tasmania, grew up in Melbourne, Australia and now lives in Gunma, Japan.

I like to draw and paint the natural environment, especially the fields and mountains where I live. My work is influenced by history, by photography and by my experience of migration and travel. I exhibit regularly both in Japan and overseas. The bulk of my studio practice is big, oily landscape paintings. I am happy to make works on paper and smaller pieces available to you on ZIBBET.
