Do you know someone who collects mermaid items? I have long loved images of mermaids, and am a particular fan of John William Waterhouse, whose public domain mermaid painting I have added to this listing, to the right. It was impossible not to buy these when I saw them several months ago, and while it's taken me forever to get to making these, it is just in time for the holidays.

This carved acrylic cabochon, with its lovely blues and buttery cream colors has beautiful, sensuous lines. The long, draping gunmetal chains and water blue faceted Czech glass rondelle drop adorning this brooch/pin gives it a vintage look and feel. A wonderful feature of this piece is that it also has a loop in the back so it can convert to a necklace, and a chain necklace using the gunmetal chain that matches the brooch is included! The default length is 19" but it can be altered if you would like it to be shorter or longer; just let me know. A bonus is that this pin is very fashion forward, as brooches are big right now.
