Description

Dichroic glass in sparkling shades of orange, yellow, green and a hint of blue on a black base highlight these one of a kind earrings. These earrings were formed into an elongated shape.

Each earring is attached to a 14Kt gold filled bail and hang from 14Kt gold filled earwires.

Each complete earring measures 1 1/8" (27mm) long from the base of the earwire and 1 7/8" (37mm) long from top to bottom. Earrings measure approximately 5/8" (12mm) wide at the widest point.

About glass fusing: Each earring is formed from several layers of sheet glass that is fused together in a kiln to form a single layer of glass. The glass is then cut and the edges are ground to shape each piece to create this matched pair. The glass is then fused again in the kiln to soften and round the edges for a finished look. Some pieces can be ground and fused many times in order to achieve a desired shape or closely matched pair.
