Welcome to ArtFairlyAware! My name is Lois and I love coffee! So..I put a bit,of fair trade coffee into each of my pieces, whether it's kneaded into my clay or mixed into my paint-hence the name ArtFairlyAware. My hope is that these items can create conversations that will help spread the word about the importance of fair trade, especially coffee. I believe in giving back and paying it forward, so 10% of each item (less shipping) I sell gets donated to help end hunger around the world--5% goes to World Hunger and 5% goes to Feeding America. I try to use recycled items whenever I can as well, including my shipping materials--I've even started making my own mailing envelopes with recycled coffee bags, calendars, magazines and bubble wrap! I use beads and findings that I've recycled from other things as well. Even the ground coffee that I use in my pieces is recycled; I enjoy drinking it and re-dry the grounds to use! I also enjoy finding new uses for discarded or resale items. I hope you like what you see in my store. All of my items are truly one-of-a-kind.
