Glass Tile Leaf Necklace
A portion of a yarrow leaf preserved behind a glass tile.
I gathered the foilage this fall, pressed it, and adhered it to handmade paper before placing it behind the glass.
There are numerous bits of lore concerning yarrow. For example, yarrow was frequently consulted where love matters were concerned. One famous love charm required that a handful of Yarrow be sewn into a flannel square and put under your pillow, then you should recite the following rhyme aloud:
Thou pretty herb of Venus' tree,
Thy true name is Yarrow.
Now who my bosom friend must be,
Pray tell through me tomorrow.
One's future husband or wife would appear that night in a dream.

Please note that this pendant is water resistant, but not waterproof, so remember to take it off before entering any body of water!
