My Name is Mandy Lewis-Houston and I was born in Lancashire, England. I am the eldest of four siblings and the name I chose for this store is a nod of appreciation to my two little sisters who always liked to rummage through my jewelry boxes. My brother was less interested .
I have loved to make things with my hands my whole life. I was fortunate enough to be born into a very creative family. My mother is a seamstress, and my father is a wood turner. My siblings also make a living from their creativity. I am mostly self taught but where it is at all possible I will find a mentor to guide and advise. I strive to make each piece of jewelry unique, I rarely make the same thing twice and even when I try to replicate my work I find it almost impossible, which I like.
I am also an avid reader, I love to Zentangle, draw and paint. I am also wife to my super supportive husband Rob, mother and mother-in-law to Sophie and Matt respectively and Grammy to the most adorable little babies in the world, Gracie and James.
I have one goal a year and that is simply to learn one new skill. From juggling to skydiving, salt water etching to kayaking, I want to learn and experience as much as I can.
