The smaller sister of my "Mariposa Cocktail Ring", this version features a brass butterfly with a 1/2" wingspan. It is soldered slightly askew for a natural, "just landed" feel (please see photos). The band is 2mm wide recycled sterling silver handmade from scratch (by me!). The butterfly is then heavily oxidized and selectively sanded & polished to bring out the detail. Each nook is covered in black, and each raised vein is bright brass. The entire ring is then tumbled in steel shot for hours to add strength and shine, then the butterfly is finally varnished with several layers to help preserve the finish and protect your finger. Very feminine and sweet.
