Medium Parallam Hand Turn Nut Bowl

This unusual Nut Bowl is totally reclaimed lumber. The bowl is turned from a piece of wood called Parallam. Alot of you probably have Parallam in your new homes and don't realize it. Parallam is a Engineered Lumber. All these little squiggles you see are layer of lumber that have been compressed together. These are used as beams, Fireplace Mantels and other applications in Home Remodels and construction. Turning the Parallam give a very interesting look to a piece. This bowl measures 3.5" tall, 7.5" wide at the top and tapers to 7" at the bottom. Bowl has two coats of lacquer and two coats of wax applied. Not meant to hold liquid nor be cleaned with soap and water.
