I grew up on a farm and went to a one room country school house for grades K-8. I took all the art classes I could in highschool and received scholarships to the college of my choice from the local art guild. I continued to dabble in some artistic endeavors and after college, life got busy. I got married and had a son. The paint brush got put away and my creativity took a back seat. My son is almost ready for college now. My friends tell me I am suffering from a midlife crisis or soon to be emply nest. Either way, I am back to creating! The canvas is now a bead board. I always create to music. I listen to a wide range of genres and I think that inspires the end result. I also am an animal and nature lover. I study those things and create from what inspires me there as well. Beading is not exactly easy for me. I have glaucoma, cataracts and retinopathy. I also can't see yellow! That has in itself has created some funny stories! I have reliable family that tells me what the true colors are and what goes together....so don't worry.
What started as a hobby has grown into almost 60 pieces a month. My sisters finally told me (bless their hearts)they did not have any more room for my jewelry, so here I am. I hope you enjoy these items as much as I enjoy making them.
