Welcome to Classy Baby!

A few years ago I had major surgery and found myself in a situation
where I was no longer able to teach and looking for other alternatives
for providing an income. I was actually inspired to start my own business
when my grandson was born in 2008, and with the wonderful support
of my family and friends, I was off and running! The first year, I designed
diaper cakes and other baby gifts. When my second grandchild was born,
a GIRL, that's when the sewing went full speed ahead! Having raised four
boys and then having a grandson, well, a little girl was all it took to spark
my passion for sewing childrens' clothing and accessories!

I must admit, I do love making girly things! But I haven't forgotten
the boys, I make lots of stuff for them, too!

I really do know how kids play!!! Raising four active boys, teaching at an
elementary/middle school for 10 years and observing kids of
all ages during play, I've seen how rough they can be on their clothes! I
make my clothing so that it will stand up to a child's active days and
mommy's washing days!

I love designing baby essentials & clothing for kids! Not only do
I use quality, comfortable fabrics, but I love using recycled materials as
well! My husband is very supportive and has always told me
that I was good at making something out of nothing! So, I got into
repurposing and upcycling and I really love the challenges it presents.

I am just an easy going, friendly, devoted WAHM who loves to sew!!
