I started making tutus and headbands when I couldn't find what I needed for my daughter Lily! Lily didn't have much hair and was always getting called a boy!! Grr! Unfortunately the headbands I found were either too small or they would leave a big indent on her head. So I felt guilty putting her in them just to make her look more girly! So I made her one with a really soft, flat cotton head band and sewed a beautiful flower on it! It was so comfortable she didn't pull it off and even forgot it was there! So, then I made her another one and so on! I also made her a tutu for her birthday and it turned out great! One of my friends seen a picture of her in it and wanted me to make her daughter one. Then another friend and her friend too! I thought I might be on to something here! So, I did a local craft show and my tutus and headbands sold really well! Now here I am trying to make this into a professional, profitable business! Wish me luck!
