Work that was probably used for - or intended for - pillow-case edging. There are 3 pieces.....and while the patterns are different, they are all Filet design.

One is a 39.5" circle with a pattern width of 2", and the two single pieces are 19.5" in length and the width of the design is 2.5". The listed price is for the three pieces.

My Grandmother passed these along to me one Sunday afternoon (circa 1955), and if memory serves me correctly, she told me that a friend of hers had made the pieces, but she didn't like them when finished and wouldn't use them; she thought Grandma would make use of them. My Grandma ALWAYS wanted me to learn to crochet, and this was her way of encouraging me to give it more thought! She was subtle that way..........
