This is a scan of a postcard featuring the sculptured bas-relief art work of an Italian fella by the name of Mastroianni. He was so prolific -- he created like a madman. He would make a detailed, incredible bas relief diorama, have it photographed for postcards, tear it all up and start anew with the clay once again. He moved to Paris during the height of the Golden Age of Postcards. This particular scene is one of my favorites. Very Art Nouveau!The flow, the curves -- tres belle! I like all that blank space, the dark lavender -- perfect for you to add your own embellishments. My original card is unused but the back bears the printer's date of 1914.
