This is a scan of an unused French postcard and I feel confident in saying that this is a real portrait, not a photography studio model. This little French girl was perhaps getting ready for her first carnival celebration? This is a real photo that has been color tinted by hand. I have touched up the photo some in Photoshop but the background still shows its age with specks and spots. However, the little pierrot girl is absolutely adorable!
