Deja vu? Yes, you may have already seen these lovely blue birds of happiness. I have two different versions of this scan. This one is the blank version in which I have removed the French script. [The second version is like the original postcard and includes both front and back scans.
Now, you have lots of space for your own words or customized message -- an invitation perhaps? My original postcard was mailed from Vichy, France, in August of 1902. It was not legal to write anything except the recipient's address on the back of postcards prior to 1904 in France. So many artists specifically designed blank writing space on the front. I have cut this image out around the postcard edge and saved it as a PNG so it will print out authentically, uneven edge and all with rounded worn corners! (If you prefer a JPEG photo, just message me and I'll send a Jpeg.)
