Here is a scan of an antique French postcard that is a bit of an enigma. The Frenchman I got it from couldn't explain it. I'm undecided if it's an advertising card for an art school (notice the two references to drawing--- the huge pencil and the inkwell) or a graduating military class or school?? Someone from the class of 1927 penned this one -- signature at bottom and his name is included in the list of the "3rd Flag" (?regiment?) too. The man on the horse looks like a bull fighter.....which further adds to the mystery. Leurs Reves is French for "their dreams." Anyway, its such a varied collection of doodles that I thought you might like it for inspiration in YOUR art journal!
