DIGITAL scan BLUEPRINT Paris architecture 1880 House Windows Art Nouveau iron grillwork
I hope you are as excited about this as I am. I'm always looking for something 'new' to offer and I recently came across this 1880 French book of blueprints!
This is the other half of the Maison d'Angle on Rue Hippolyte Le Bas in Paris! (I have another listing for the first half which features a stairway.) This half has its own special appeal with beaucoup des fenetres (windows) and that typical Art Nouveau ironwork we associate with Paris architecture. Look what Eiffel got started:)
There are hints of creases at top and/or bottom. But they don't detract from the charm of the image. When printed, those usually come out looking like gradients in the background.
This scan is quite large. First, I scanned in the original at about 11 by 16 at 600 dpi to make sure I captured the details in the line drawings. Then I reduced it down to 5 x 8 inches at 300 dpi. I feel confident in saying you could transfer this image to a 12x14 piece of fine art paper (maybe even larger) and not loose any clarity.
