Are you having a beach party this summer? Here's the perfect scan to turn into a unique invitation! My original French postcard was mailed in 1907 and is a black and white photo. I can't read all of the French script, but Auguste seems to be saying not to worry about his absence on Monday, he'll be there Tuesday. If I had a choice of staying at the beach or showing up for work, I think I'd wait .... till Vendredi (Thursday:). I love the linear lines in this piece and the mostly unreadably French script adds to it. Enlarge your scan and crop in like I did in the gallery shot or use full postcard size. I have added the light red/pink color accents; if you prefer the original black and white version to color yourself, just make a note under Message from Buyer.
