The French text in the top right corner says "Key to Paradise." If you asked a man, he'd probably just see a scantily clad woman and that's his idea of Paradise. But I prefer to think of this Art Nouveau beauty as a goddess or muse, offering one the keys to creativity, inspiration and art. Now that's Paradise, n'est-ce pas?! Gossemer robe, long flowing hair and roses falling from her hands -- tres belle! The hand-written note sent by Cazola in 1909 says -- as best as I can translate --, "Hug well for ...Madeleine, friendship to all." I can't find any online information about the artist "Colmann." I have left his/her name on the image because I do so hate to strip an image of its history and discredit the artist, but if you prefer the name cloned off that corner, I can do so. Just make a note of your request when you turn in your order. I did a test print of my scan, almost filling an entire 8.5 by 11 sheet of paper. I can just see this image put into a chippy white shabby chic frame for cottage wall art! NOTE: you will receive the second photo, the full size version without the FrenchKissed watermarks, of course. I have taken care to cut this image out so it will print exactly as you see it, authentically aged with the rounded, time-worn corners -- uneven edges, too!
