We moved to the High Desert in the mid-1990s and soon became interested in collecting minerals--lots of it! We started to buy rock equipment and machinery, and we joined the Mojave Desert Gem & Mineral Society, where we learned to hone our skills in looking for rocks, in making rock slabs, and in designing, shaping, and polishing rocks into cabochons.Several years ago, we decided to combine these lapidary skills with silversmithing. So now we not only cut, shape, and polish all of our gemstones using a Genie rock machine, but we design and create the silver setting for each piece. We try to create unique, one-of-a kind jewelry.
