Profile for GenerationsDyeWorks
It started as a way to salvage stained baby clothing when I first had children, then as unique baby gifts for friends having their own babies. I went from old-fashioned RIT dyes to super-colorfast fiber-reactive dyes all at once and LOVED the results - and then I found I couldn't stop! I now have a basement full of tie-dye looking for new homes.
I've noticed that my style of tie-dye isn't *quite* the usual. Sure, the rainbow spirals are nice and all (I like making them too!), but I'm discovering that tie-dye and related forms of dyeing can be a wider variety of things than I usually see either in brick-and-mortar stores or online.
In order to reduce my cost - and yours! - many of my items have been obtained from local thrift shops or yard sales or mom'n'baby sales. This helps me price my garments more attractively AND helps keep older garments still in good shape out of the waste stream by giving them new life, which is important to me. I hope you enjoy the shop as much as I enjoy dyeing new fun things for you!
