It's light-weight, easy on and off, and the hood rests easily on baby's noggin, with no ties to tangle.....similar to fabric called French Terry...soft, soft, soft....knit in traditional stockinette stitch with seed stitch cuffs, hem, and border around face. Measurements are 12" from shoulder to bottom hem, and 24" round the chest.
