White Patchwork Flowergirl Dress
The inspiration for this dress is a little girl named Nissa who lives halfway around the world from me. Unfortunately she wasn't available to model the dress. The profits from all Nissa dresses (including this flowergirl dress) go to the orphanage she lives in. Made from nearly 20 different fabrics that were leftover from other projects, this dress is perfect for a bride who loves both recycling and elegance. It has elastic and buttonholes for the straps in the back. The straps are lined with satin, which shows when they are tied.
Each of the eight skirt panels are individually underlined, and the hem is finished with a facing. The fabric flowers are handmade too.
The size is girls' 8/10, but is somewhat variable. The model is tall and thin, so she wears the straps tied tighter to pull in the back, and the hem lands at her knee.
The dress is machine washable - just be gentle! Put it into a pillowcase or bag to protect it. Or you can just hand wash the dress. Hang to drip dry.
White fabric including cotton, satin, lace, and eyelet
