I live in Japan which is a textile lovers paradise. I am originally from Melbourne, Australia, where I studied screenprint design at RMIT and was the main designer for indie label Page Three. I have been sewing, knitting, crochetting, dyeing and needlepointing since childhood having learnt my skills from my mother and grandmother.
My other shop is AKjapan, a gallery where I sell works on paper. I like fabric and paper too, so I set up this shop for those who like Japanese textiles. I source fabrics from antique markets, overstockers, off-the-beaten-path shops, and I aim to move beyond 'kawaii' and stock unusual, interesting, new and vintage fabrics for you.
