Kolkata - Rosary - Beloved Collection - Destinations Series - OOAK
Description
Kolkata, or Calcutta, is the capital of the Indian state of West Bengal. Located on the east bank of the Hooghly River, it is the principal commercial, cultural, and educational centre of East India. Under East India Company and later under the British Raj, Kolkata served as the capital of India until 1911, when its perceived geographical disadvantages, combined with growing nationalism in Bengal, led to a shift of the capital to New Delhi.
The word Kolkata derives from the Bengali term Kolikata, which means "Kali's Tongue."
This is a five-decade rosary. These are Czech glass beads in pale green and pink, transparent bright green hearts, large lime zest flowers, and tortoiseshell at the Pater points. The cross piece is a brass fleur de lis, in an Indian "wood block" style. On pure copper wire.
Care of your Rosary:
This rosary is beaded on pure copper wire. Copper wire must be cared for like a precious metal, as it is both soft and tarnishes.
Do not handle your rosary with soiled hands, as the oil and dirt in your hands will cause the copper to tarnish. Do not allow the rosary to become wet. If your rosary becomes wet, promptly dry with a soft towel. Do not tug on the beads, as soft copper may pull apart or break with force.
Love love heart...
