Beautiful 12mm blue coral rounds are a lovely shade that reminds me of washed denim. They are paired with AAA grade white coral 22x16 drums. Inbetween the blue coral I used 6mm white quartz rounds. 10mm fancy bead caps surround the white coral. The necklace has been finished off with a 16x20mm TierraCast silverplated toggle closure.
Matching earrings dangle 1 3/4 inches from .925 sterling silver 25mm earwires.

The blue coral in this piece looks like white-washed denim and is totally natural in color. This necklace would look perfect with denim.
The white coral is lovely up close with all the natural pores as this is a sponge coral.

TierraCast uses an alloy called Britannia, composed of 92% tin, 7.5 % antimony and .5% copper. Tin is refined from ore that contains other metals, including lead. A chemical process is used to remove the lead, but trace amounts still remain. Although all pewter contains trace amounts of lead, the term "lead free pewter" is used to describe pewter that meets the stringent FDA standard of less than .05% (or 500 parts per million) lead content in pewter.
