Hi! My name is Laura. I'm 30 year old single lady from Latvia (such small country in Europe).
I loved different crafts when I was at school. I knitted, crosstitched, weaved, knotted, crocheted... Unfortunately my teachers and parents did not think that I have any talent in this and turned me off. So I quit crafting. But about year ago I lost my job and had to decide how to fill my days. And I remembered my childhood passion. I bought yarn, crochet hook and started to play with patterns, colors and shapes. And I loved it. I had feeling that I have got back something very important.
As I am very unpatient I'm more in small things - appliques, doll clothes etc. - things that I can see changing not by days, but by hours and minutes. Still if I find something unusual I try it in something bigger - scarf, for example.
Although I usually stick to black, white and red colors I try to make my studio colorfull and live. May be colors and color combinations I use are not trendy, but I've seen enough grey, teal and dirty white colors. I want to bring in sparkling yellow, live green and sunset orange.
For most of my works I don't use any patterns so I never know how the next item will look like.
