My handmade adventure started by learning feltmaking,using fine merino wool from our small farm in Australia. Along the way,I became absorbed in the beauty, colours and feel of silk fabric and began to incorporate it with my felt works.The two natural fibres have a wonderful affinity. They are perfect against the skin, one light, where the other is warm. Both breathe and flow with one's body. They are perFect partners and now my time is taken designing beautiful, yet simple, wearable art, in the form of accessories. Hats, wraps, scarves, and bags all get a turn at my attention. My creative joy is complete when a new Owner meets Garment.Like marriage, there is often only one true match and sometimes a garment may have to wait a while to be chosen but then the joy is greater ! A true match is sure to have been made. A MEBA accessory is a very personal item and becomes much more-so in the wearing.
