“Lost at the bottom of grandma's button box, we were recently discovered by Milomade and teamed together to be lovingly fashioned into a vintage button flower brooch for someone special.”

This button flower brooch is made up of 6 buttons, 5 small white shirt buttons make the petals and one larger pale purple engraved button with a lovely pattern around it's edge forms the center of the flower. The buttons are stitched with purple thread onto dark leather. A unique piece of eco chic - made from recycled buttons, upholstery leather, embroidery thread and a standard brooch pin.

Developed through my love of finding beauty in everyday items and a desire to reduce, reuse and recycle, I have created a unique range of jewellery from my collection of vintage buttons. These daisy brooches are part of this range.

Almost everyone has a button collection stashed away somewhere in a box or a jar. Dipping my hands into a box full of buttons is an absolute delight and I love to search through my collection and find buttons with unique characteristics to use as centre pieces for my button flower brooches.

Each button, be it antique, retro or new tells its own story and by stitching them together I create a new narrative that is then passed on, like an heirloom to the brooches new owner.
