If no part touches, read and learn. A book that sticks with you. Nowadays a subject only covered by comics, this is not all that funny and not too happy, either.”
“This is the climax of Studs Lonigan's wasted life. For ever, he had prayed for a miracle that would rescue him from the poverty, futility and compromises in his life. But the miracle never came, and Studs was forced to face the ugly reality he tried to dodge.”
“Now Studs reaches maturity and sees the horrible and bitter harvesting of the fruits of a life of criminal activity and moral depravity.”
