Along my garden path there are prolific Magnolia trees with white Camellias blooming nearby. Utterly irresistible are the luscious spent seed pods with their rich chocolate browns – all the texture and form an artist could want.

These bits of ephemera reminded me of the rich brown colors of the magnolia pods – so sophisticated and secretive.

DESCRIPTION: Gold filled earring hoops, eye screws, headpins and Swarovski pearl cream beads seemed fitting for these sophisticated black and brown earrings. The images have lovingly been attached to vintage Scrabble tiles. High gloss, glass-like resin has been applied to protect the surfaces.

SIZE: The tiles each measure approximately 3/4 inches square (18 x 20 mm). Gold filled findings and pearl beads added make the earrings about 1.5 inches long. Though the surfaces are hard, the earrings are not waterproof.

YOUR WORDS: There is just enough room on the back of the scrabble pieces for a few of your own words. Let me know what you would like to say. Otherwise, my name as designer will appear.

PACKAGING: They will be sent to you in a silver toned watchmaker box with a clear lid. The box will be filled with crinkly paper shred, wrapped in cellophane and tied with a satin ribbon for your own enjoyment or as a ready gift.
