The striking beauty in the shape & contour of the knots & the shimmering waves in the grain make these trivets a mesmerizing work of art. And yet they are functional too!

Sometimes, its what is (k)not there that draws your attention! Each trivet is unique not only in the ‘hole’ it has but in the beautiful wood grain around it.

These trivets were created from rough end, discarded California Redwood pieces. Boxed up & saved for something special, over 25 years ago, the rough pieces made their way to my home last year. After much thought, these trivets were born. When you hold these, you hold history, & nature, in your hands, your home & your heart.

This listing is for one of the medium rectangle trivets. Their measurements vary from between 7.75” to 8” in length. The width is 5.5” on all.

All trivets have slices of old wine corks for feet. The wood is sealed & protected with multiple coats of Danish Oil.

Care: Obviously not an item you can put through the dishwasher or submerge in a sink full of water. The surface can be gently wiped clean with a damp cloth if necessary. If the wood begins to dry out, it can be re-oiled.

Due to the varied weight of each piece of wood & packaging, the weight has been averaged. Items will be mailed Priority within US & First Class worldwide. This was the most reasonable option available. For more than one trivet, I will refund any overage (over $1.) via PayPal.
