1896 Cabinet Photograph, The Serious Men Series, No 121
From a 1896 Christmas presentation album found long-forgotten, I have salvaged the photographs of the gift-givers - in all their holiday frivolity and carefree antique whimsy.
And so ... without further ado, here is #121 in the Serious Man Series - Mr. W. L. Davidson
The cabinet photo is blank on its reverse and was taken by C. Petersen of La Grange, Texas sometime prior to the album's presentation date of 1896 and the photo with its backing card measures 4.25" x 6.5" (11x17 cm).
The photo is without flaw, wonderful for your art ~ that is, if you decide not to frame it for your bedside table.
