From the 1914 volume, 'Journal des Dames et des Modes', reprinted in 1980, one gorgeous paper featuring two fashion plates.

The originals of these beautiful lithographs were pochoir prints (engraved and screen printed/stenciled) and mounted on card. Designers included in these monthly fashion journals, whose publication lasted only 2 brief years due to the outbreak of WW1, were leading commercial artists of the day.

The fashion artists here are Armand Vallée, with a beautiful day dress, and H. Robert Dammy, with a masquerade ball gown.

The 2-sided paper measures 9" x 9.5" (23x24 cm). The paper is wonderfully heavy and has only a very gentle tanning. The illustrations are fabulous ~ clear and bright and the page is without tears, folds or creases.

Either side would be wonderful to frame ~ perfect for bath or bedroom, for dressing room or your sewing studio. So lovely. Or, perhaps you'll find use for these in your card or scrap-book page making, collage or mixed media.
