Featured are detailed hand-colored botanical engravings, gleaned from an 1815 folio collection, 'Picture Book For The Use and Amusement of Youth'.

This listing includes 2 separate papers ~
~ a paper featuring detailed, hand-colored engravings of Rye and Colonial Bentgrass
~ a 2-sided paper with text keyed and describing those engravings; one side in German, one in French

Each paper measures approximately 8" x 9.5" (20x24 cm), with clearly seen plate marks. Only slight tanning is seen on the papers, perhaps due to the fact these are woven papers.

The engravings are wonderfully vivid and bright on a quite heavy paper. The text page lighter in weight and the text is clear and strong.

A wonderful study to frame, fantastic to use in your art, card and jewelry making, collage, decoupage.

You are purchasing original 1815 engravings and they do not have watermarks. I'll send these pages to you flat, protected, and by USPS 1st Class mail.
