Antique 1850 Victorian Hand Colored Natural History Bird Engraving, The Snipe
A wonderfully detailed engraving featuring "The Snipe" gleaned from an 1850 edition of 'Tallis' Scripture Natural History For Youth'.
The heavy paper is blank on its reverse, measures 5" x 7" (13x18 cm), and shows gentle all-over tanning. The paper is clean and smooth, the corners are only slightly softened, and there are no tears, folds, creases, or marks.
A gorgeous study to frame, by itself or in a natural history grouping! Fantastic to use in your art ~ your card or scrap-book page making, your collage, mixed media.
