Description

An exotic raked focal bead done in StrikingColor glasses. This batch of glass forms into what looks like natural layers of color, with both transparent and opaque bands. It tends toward lighter, pastel colors, with lots of golds, greens, and blues, and just a hint of purple and red. I added large dots around the center in a delicate aqua StrikingColor glass, poked and topped with clear to capture a bubble and give it exquisite depth. Then I raked the dots to the ends of the bead, giving it it's current shape. I accented it with tiny raised dots done in metallic/iridescent dark silver plum, and it's temporarily strung on a knotted satin cord for your immediate enjoyment!

This bead was made on a 3/32" mandrel, and is 27mm X approx. 18mm.
