Thank you for visiting my shop and wanting to know something about me!

I've always enjoyed making things with my hands or finding out how things work. Over the years, my full time jobs have been many - teaching nutrition, managing kitchens, catering events, all with a patient husband who worked different shifts helping me to raise two sons and a 90 lb yellow lab!

Sewing has been my "get away hobby" for as long as I can remember. I even take my machine when we vacation to the beaches of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I love to quilt and love fabrics.

I started "Pouches" when I realized that I had many clothes that no longer fit and my storage philosophy has always been "one can never have too many bags". Because I like to think of myself as thrifty - planting a garden, hanging clothes out on a line to dry - I started making bags from my clothes. But I began thinking of my storage bags as "pouches" - full of treasures, mystery and fun, useful things.

Now that my 2 sons are grown, even though I'm still in kitchens and sometimes still cook for my husband :), I have more time for myself. So....now I have even more "pouches". Maybe you would like a few?!
