♥ I live in Maine, a lovely spot for mixing Rough (copper, shells, wood) with Magic (gemstones).
♥ Why Rough Magic? Shakespeare! At the end of "The Tempest," the marooned magician Prospero lays aside his rough magic. As my husband Joe is descended from a voyager on the ship that inspired the play, I believe a bit of Prospero's art has come ashore on the beach outside my studio window.
