Welcome to Smiling Cow Studio!

We are Adrienne Gradauer and Zach Quin. We've been making pottery together since 2003, and Adrienne has been at it since taking a BFA in Ceramics at the Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary, AB, in 1998.

We specialize in functional stoneware and porcelain. We believe that excellence in craftsmanship leads to a pot that is beautiful, functional, and a pleasure to the senses. Pottery in excellent to use in the kitchen; it is tough, easy to clean, and environmentally sound.

All of our work is food-safe and can be used in the dishwasher, oven, or microwave. It does need to be handled carefully, as pottery can crack and chip.

Shipping Information

Pottery is expensive to ship, as it is fragile and has to be well-packed. We double box our ware. We use Canada post expediated Parcel, which ships in 8-10 days in Canada, and a few days longer to the States. We will refund you for any shipping under-estimate.

Refunds, Returns and Exchanges

Sorry, no refunds, folks. We are willing to do exchanges, but the shipping costs will be your responsibility.

If breakage does occur during shipping, we will ship you a replacement if you email us a digital image of the breakage within 7 days of receiving the damaged package. If we are out of stock of an item, it may take up to a month for us to remake it, and it may not be identical to your original. We'll do our best though!
