As a master craftsmen of fine woodworking, my goals have turned to passing on my years of knowledge and primary skill sets in working with wood to the next generation. It's important that they understand why I use the tools and/or methods I use to create my work.
Understanding the skills and principles of working wood by hand allows them to apply this knowledge to modern methods and technologies. While the tools have changed the charactistics of wood continue to remain unchanged.
This knowledge gives them the foundation for creating heirloom treasures which have design and structure viability long into the future.
