Description

Hush Dear. You'll wake the baby! Now let's read a story.

What a stunning frame-worthy gift for the new mother or little person in your life!

This gorgeous original engraving from 1871 is from my very own collection of beautiful Victorian illustrations from the late 1800s.

This sweet frame-worthy print is from Peterson's Magazine For Ladies. I've been holding on to my collection long enough to know that I won't ever get around to framing them all, so I'm offering them here to you.

'1871 The Little Brother" measures 9.25" x 5,5" and is blank on the reverse. It's in smooth condition; aged to a lovely soft and even light tanning with the usual spots one find on paper that's 139 years old. There's a small puncture at the very bottom that shows as a black spot in these scans, one easily addressed once this sweet illustration is matted and framed.

This happy family will come to your doorstep packed flat in a stiff mailer sleeve to protect them from damage on their trip from my place to yours, delivered by those nice folks at the USPS.
