Hand-dyed Double-Ply Silver & Gold Handspun Vegan Silk Tencel Yarn

Here is a skein of luxurious, handspun double-ply tencel yarn. Tencel is a natural, vegan fiber made from wood pulp cellulose (see description below). It is great for those with allergies to wool or other animal fibers. Tencel is referred to as "vegan silk" because of its lustrous sheen and soft, sensuous texture.

I am amazed at how beautifully tencel accepts dye colors. This luminous fiber can turn ordinary yellow & grey into regal silver & gold! The last two photos show the hand-dyed tencel fibers before being spun into yarn.

This gorgeous 1.6 oz (44.5 g) skein is made from one strand of handspun golden and one strand of handspun silver tencel. There are 52 yards (47.5 meters) of yarn in this skein.
