Description

Real hazelnuts in the shell are the focus of this unusual beaded necklace that will add a pretty touch of the winter season to any outfit - from turtleneck and jeans to dressed up. Part of my Hazelnut Series.

To make this piece I painted the hazelnuts subtly shining silver and enclosed them in a netted tube of seed beads that holds them securely while allowing them to be seen. The tube is finished with a beadwoven spiral cord in the same colors of ice and snow that are used to make the net. The beadwork gives off tiny glints and sparks that remind me of moonlight sparkling on fresh snow.

The clasp is a silver-plated hook and eye. If you prefer, I can substitute a silver-plated lobster clasp. Sterling silver clasp available for an additional charge.

Necklace length 18 inches (46 cm). The length of the necklace can be adjusted - contact me with your requirements and I will be happy to help. Matching earrings are available.
