Description

This Gunne Sax dress is a piece that I'v been fighting with in my mind. The color is a deep aqua with vivid white accents in the fabric and macrame lace. It is also rare with a color unknown in Gunne Sax dresses. The bodice is a cream colored sateen with frogs for closure and matching sateen cuffs with buttons and fabric, loop closures. The structural integrity of the dress is excellent with an expansive sweep of 300" You can actually loop the side of the skirt around your neck) and macrame defining the 3 tiers.
Their are issues with this dress, however. The acetate underskirt has a 4" tear that I'v pictured (can easily be mended). The left cuff has a replacement button that would have to be looked into and the hem has a few minor spots of unraveling. There have been no alterations to this dress and it also has the familiar sashes for a customized fit. This is as rare as the 'Fairy Dress' from the early 70's (Yes.I have that one too). If it doesn't sell i'll just have my seamstress restore it to it's original glory and wear it myself.
This one is a rare size 13 but only go by the measurements!
