Description

This Gunne Sax Prairie dress has all of the feautures that you could ask for in a Gunne. The detail is terrific.I would rate this as an excellent Vintage. Most of my dresses are either unworn or worn once. those i refer to as flawless.
The main fabric is a white, cotton blend that has longitudinal striping woven into it. This comprises the sleeves and the abundant skirt.
The bodice is a beautiful calico on a wheat colored background with a spay of posy's some of which are gold painted. There is a button down front bodice with white, pearlescent buttons with fabric closures. i each side of the natural waistline ar sashes of calico that tie for adjustment.
The skirt is tiered and accented with floral lace and golden ribbon. the cuffs also are comprised of the calico with button closures. The only flaw that I could find were to, pinhead holes on the right sleeve that I'v photographed. They wouldn't be noticeable but I'm very particular about my Gunne's and inspect them in detail.
