Today I have a definite ,Blast from the Past'! This Gunne sax, 2 piece suit is the epitome of the 80s when everything was 'BIG'. It even has the shoulder pads.
This piece is in excellent condition and is made from a medium weight, Cotton blend and has no signs of being worn. I do believe that it did not sell because it was sized at a 9 and has much larger proportions. The background of the fabric is a dark blue and varying colors of roses are woven into it ranging from pink to a light peach.
The jacket is double breasted with double buttons on the bodice. The lapels are edged with a glistening white, cotton lace that extends entirely around the lapels and collar and offsets the distinctive pattern of the fabric. it is tailored to cinch in at the waist.
The skirt has a single button closure and zipper on a form fitting waistline. Below the waist approximately 6" the fabric then has light gathering for fullness. There are no flaws on either piece.
