Description

This Praire Style dress by Gunne Sax is a Lovely creation of a white cotton blend with Blue Floral bouquets strewn upon it. The condition is excellent with the fabric crisp and the lace and ribbon pristine. Excepting the sleeves, it is lined in a white acetate.
The bodice is squared with a textured tulle covered insert that is lightly gathered and accented by a demure white bow. This feature is framed with floral lace and white ribbon and reframed again in longitudinal lines that touch the Empire waist. There has been extra lace added on to the cleavage area for modesty making this part of the bodice stationary rather than elasticized as originally designed.
As mentioned before, the waistline is an empire style defined by white, sateen ribbon. sashes are attached on each side to tie in the back and adjust to size.
The skirting is moderately gathered, floating down to a hem of lace and ribbon that mimic the accents of the full and billowing sleeves. This gorgeous piece can still be worn during the summer and float effortlessly into the Fall with a delicate whie shawl. It truly is a Beautiful Piece. I am pricing it lower than I would regularly charge due to the alteration of the bodice. I'm a purist with Gunne's and prefer them in their unaltered form and that is why this is less expensive. This is a Vintage Size 11 but, go only by the measurements that I provide.
