Description

This is a supremely Beautiful 'Ren' Style dress by Gunne Sax. I would estimate it to be from around 1972 or 1973. It consists of a durable, cream colored broadcloth with Lush, Ruby Red, Velvet accents. Adornments are comprised of macrame lace that matches the color of the broadcloth.
The collar is high and decorated with delicate macrame lace that flows into the tie bodice. The zip sleeves also have the same macrame as does the velvet apron.
The dress is structurally sound with tight even seams and no flaws in the fabric. I DID take a picture of the back bottom ruffle where some light spotting is present (it was sent to the dry cleaners). Also on some of the lace is a very light yellowing. It can be seen in the one picture to the left of the tie bodice where the fabrics meet. It is very hard to discern any of these discolorations but, I check my dresses very well. I would regularly offer a dress like this and in this size for $150.00. I am selling it for $75.00 due to these imperfections. It would be perfect for a Ren Faire and Sturdy enough to be worn numerous times.
