I am a Mother, Grandmother, Registered Nurse and Good friend. I have aso been a Daughter but I have now passed that identity on to my Daughters-in-Law in hopes that they will cherish that role as I did when it was mine to claim.
I have been a Collector of items of Great Beauty all of my life with Thanks to my Mother who I dedicate this Shop. It was She, who imparted to Me the Eye and Appreciaton for Quality and Beauty. I am forever indebted to her for that. She lived Her life giving every task the most that She had and set Her Standards High. There was nothing too small that didn't have the most precious value and deserve the Best that You could provide. She lies closely in My Heart and has Her indelible stamp upon My actions.
I am an avid Gardener and antiquer with an affinity for the craftsmanship of days gone by. I surround myself with these long forgotten Masterpieces with special care and imagine the stories that lie hidden behind their patina. It is a way of keeping the memories of Those long gone continuing to the next Generation. it is quite obvious that I am a self-proclaimed Historian.
My Greatest accomplishments are my 2 Sons that taught me Patience, Unconditional Love and the value of True Joy. I consider Them to be My greatest Teachers. They never cease to amaze Me as I see the Fine, Young Men that they've grown to be. It is through the light in Their eyes that I can comprehend the Existence of God.
I live in a Tiny Southern Town rich in History where Galleries abound and Sweet Tea is a Staple. We all know each others names and Courtesy is a Given at every turn. I wouldn't wish to live Elsewhere. Even though we live in the present here, the past is highly revered and Heritage is given much precedence.
My journey as a Registered Nurse has been for over 20 years and I consider it to be an Honor. Not only have I shared victories with my patients but losses. I have been privileged to be a part of the most intimate moments of a person's life both in Birth and in Death. It is a responsibility that I do not take lightly. It keeps me balanced and always remembering that 'We are not promised another day'. Enjoy the day you live in and pass that ray of hope onto others. It will come back TenFold.
